WELL, IT 2009 AND NJQHA HAS A NEW PRESIDENT!
Gary Weeks has taken the reins as President of the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association effective January 1, 2009. Gary is a AQHA Professional Horseman who owns and operates Gary Weeks Quarter Horses located in Cape May, NJ. As a past Board Member, Gary is excited to lead the Association as it promotes the American Quarter Horse and its versatility.
NJQHA offers opportunities for horse lovers to participate in Trail and Recreational riding, showing, clinics and youth activities. Plans for this year include four Charity Trail Rides, Spring Clinic, and our Spring Spectacular Show (the Association’s largest fundraiser) will be held at the new and exciting Dream Park in Gloucester County May 1st.
One of the objectives for the Association in 2009 is to increase communications with our members through the use of our new and improved Website. “My vision for the future is to make all people who own or are interested the American Quarter Horse or just in horses feel welcome in our Organization.”
Gary looks forward to meeting each member at the banquet being held on February 7th at the Lakewood Country Club. See below for information.
