OBITUARY

Debbie Goldberg of Chester, NJ died May 27, 2009.

More than 40 years ago Debbie was involved with horses, starting in the 4-H program. She and her husband Steve then moved into breeding Quarter Horses on their Califon, NJ farm.

Her participation in NJQH grew from exhibitor to Secretary, where, for more than 35 years she managed shows, promoted NJQHA and presented clinics.  Her knowledge of rules and procedures was well known by all.

In October of 2008, Debbie was bestowed the honor of Director at Large of NJQHA.  This position is the highest honor the Association can present to an individual who has made exceptional and outstanding contributions to the organization.

Debbie Goldberg was entirely committed to the New Jersey Quarter Horse Association. Her dedication never wavered for more than 3 decades.  She will be missed and her love of the American Quarter Horse will always be remembered by those who knew or had the honor of meeting her.

Debbie is survived by her husband, Steven J. Goldberg, her daughter Elle Goldberg, her son Scott Goldberg and 4 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to AQHYA Scholarship Fund or Carol G Simon Center at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
