NJQHA Open Meeting, May 17

Vice President Heidi Bergmann-Schoch welcomes Lt. Michael Maloney of the Millstone Fire Department.

Lt. Maloney presented a seminar on how to prevent barn fires. Discussing safety precautions regarding electrical systems, lightning protection in and outside your barn. Responding to a fire, evacuation, fire extinguishers, water supply and suppression techniques. Building a fire-safe barn and resources for fire safety in horse barns.

This seminar was filled with information regarding the safety of your property and livestock. Lt. Maloney suggested contacting your local fire department and have them come to your farm regarding the above subjects.

NJQH MEMBERS PARTICIPATE IN PARADE OF BREEDS

The Freedom Fest State Agricultural Fair will be held Tues., July 6 - Sunday July 7 at the HorsePark of NJ in Allentown.  There will be exhibits, rides, fireworks and equestrian events.

On Saturday, between 5:30 and 7:30PM NJQH will represent the QH in the Parade of Breeds hosted by the Horsemen's Association of Millstone Township.
